You Make a Difference

We left Colorado Springs in 2002 for a five-year mission assignment in Pisek, Czech Republic. While there, I always felt I did not do enough. It turned into a 7-year assignment with Ambassadors, a football (soccer) mission, and teaching conversational English. I cannot brag about leading umpteen people to Christ. From the picture above of our going-away-party, it looks like we did make a difference. We would return many times to Pisek. The last time was 22 years later, 2024. This time, people asked us how we got to the Czech Republic and why. One couple asked us what we had to do to go at our later age in life because they want to go on a mission to the Middle East, or maybe Africa. We got driven around to the various cities where we met people, avoiding public transportation, even though we were familiar with it. Evidently we DID make a difference, but were not as aware of it as we thought. Watch what you do. People around you are watching! You do make a difference!
