    Brother Del,
May your fast, study, pray and mourn give you the peace and joy that Job had in the end. A good idea, and think I might join. Ph’p:4:6: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Ph’p:4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

[Thank you, dear brother, for those are greatly meaningful verses for me. He is more than awesome in His grace and comfort and peace. Soli Deo Gloria. dt]

  9. Don on January 25th, 2012 8:37 pm

    Del,
I join in praying for our families, our nation, the body of Christ and for you. May The Lord continue to use you in His Story, accomplishing His purposes. Your note of seeking Him and Galatians 6:9 has reminded me of Hebrews 12:1-3. –
1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
    Don

[Thanks, Don. One of my very favorite passages! Soli Deo Gloria, Amen! dt]

  10. Dan H. on January 26th, 2012 9:13 am

Prayers and peace to you dear brother.
    In Christ,
    Dan H.

[Dan, your words are encouraging enough. Thanks, brother. Blessings to you. dt]

    Del,
I’m 54 and have known the goodness and love of Jesus since grade-school, have rested in the sufficiency of Jesus since age 18. About 2 years ago (wow, is that possible)your teachings from the Truth Project strengthened my faith with the eloquence and power of TRUTH. Now,having recent increase of life’s pressures, am thanking God for His faithfulness in preserving HIS WORD through people of His Body (like you). His Word is seeing me through. God is Faithful. There is always a Remnant of those who struggle to follow His Truth.

[Thank you, Regina, for your kind and encouraging words. Very, very much needed. Blessings. Soli Deo Gloria! dt]

  16. Tim on February 23rd, 2012 10:44 am

Father, the fact that Del is not back yet in his exicited, jovial state causes me concern. Stay with him Lord, and make it clear to him how much we care, even when we don’t write. We need him in the game Father. Oh how you have touched so many of us through him. Comfort him Father during this trial. We know that it is only throught trials that we become the men and women that you want us to be. So stay close to Del Father, and help him discern your will during this time.
Thank you Father for the impact that Del has had in my life, and help him get up and fight another day. Through his Grace.

[Tim, your prayer was very encouraging to me. Thank you for taking the time to send it to me. Very encouraging and much needed. Blessings! dt]

  21. Lee on March 4th, 2012 3:44 pm

    Hello Sir,
I started the TrueU 1 last October and as always informed the class of the Truth Project. The class has been praying for you since.
Today I started another Truth Project and TrueU and it felt so good to be back. At this point I have lost count of the number that have taken the tour and several have gone off to facilitate their own. Several past students have asked “what’s next” and I have informed them to keep digging expanding their knowledge.
Thank you for your work and passion. I look forward to your next adventure (if we are able to be apart of it)
    Sincerely,
    Lee Morgan

[Thank you, Lee for being a part of the Truth Project team and for allowing the Lord to multiply it through your efforts. I continue to hear amazing stories of His work in people's lives all over the world. I'm working on Truth Project 2, so please pray we can actually make that happen. Blessings to you and your guests. dt]

  22. Jo on March 4th, 2012 8:26 pm

    Dr Tackett:
I completed the Truth Project study in Albany Ga in Sept 2008. It has opened the eyes of so many of our friends and family. I respect your teaching and your ministry. I do not know the cause of your ending your blog and your time of mourning, but I pray that God will return you to continuing to teach and reach tnrough Cross Examine and Truth Project. You have made a difference for Christ. May God richly bless you.

[Thank you, Jo, for your kind and gracious words. The Lord is the One who opens eyes and He continues to have His hands upon the Truth Project all over the world. Soli Deo Gloria! dt]

  23. Roger on March 6th, 2012 2:22 am

What has happened to Del, and why won’t anyone at Focus on the Family reply to our questions?

[I am fine. Thanks for your concern. I haven't been with Focus for 2 1/2 years, so they wouldn't be in a position to answer your questions. Blessings! dt]

  24. Linda on March 7th, 2012 8:53 am

    Dr. Tackett,
I haven’t come to read your blog for a while. I pray that your time of prayer, fasting , mouring, studying, and seeking God’s face has brought you answers, peace, wisdom and a clear vision of God’s great love for you and his plans for your life.
“…we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed… perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-10
Thank you for your work on TheTruth Project. It has opened so many eyes and changed so many lives. It’s amazing how it keeps growing. God bless you and yours, Linda

[Thank you, Linda, for your encouragement and gracious words. Very, very much needed. Any opened eyes are because of Him. Blessings to you! dt]

  25. Toni on March 10th, 2012 4:30 pm

Dear Dr. Del–To say that I’ve missed your blog hugely is an understatement, for your words have always been a little light on my path and always point me to my savior, Jesus Christ. Facing troubles of my own and the upheaval in our country and the world, I join you in daily prayers. Psalm 9 is our reminder “The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Amen? Amen!

[Thank you, Toni, for these great words of encouragement. Much needed and much appreciated. I pray the Lord will bring you through your trials with joy and peace and with the manifestation of His hope. Blessings! dt]

You okay, Del? It’s a month now since the date you indicated you’d be back. There’s respectful concern for your well-being and your work, here.

[Thank you, Ian, for your concern. I needed this time off. May the Lord grant us all wisdom and strength as we go forward. Soli Deo Gloria! dt]

  29. Kathy on March 17th, 2012 3:43 am

    Dear Dr. Tackett,
I watched you last night at the Ligonier Conference via live stream as we could not be there. You are in my prayers. I remember you speaking often about the “cocoons” you have gone through in your life in the Truth Project. Your heart seemed to be heavy last night, so my prayer is that God blesses you and keeps you through this season. You reminded us again, powerfully, that we cannot trade the Truth with the lies of the world. That life is not about our own script, but God’s script. My Pastor is doing a Bible Study with us on Revelation now and he has stressed to us that the purpose of the book is “to encourage Christians who are suffering in an anti-Christian world, to not denounce Christ but to keep their witness bold”. Every time we we question God’s meta narrative or trade the Truth for Lies, we really denounce Christ, do we not? You referenced Isaiah 46:9, what a great verse, and on to 46:10 “declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying , “My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,”. What a comfort to us and the reason for our hope.
I know you are a humble man of God, but my husband and I thank God for your gifted teaching.Last night you said you were among “giants”, but your teaching through the Truth Project, Cross Examine has been a gigantic testimony to what is really real–God’s Truth.
I believe our church Grace Presbyterian, PCA, tried to get you to speak at our church. Maybe some day you could do that.
    Blessings and In Him, Kathy

[Thank you, Kathy, for your kind and gracious words. They are much appreciated and your encouragement much needed. All the glory is His! Blessings. dt]

  30. Bryan on March 17th, 2012 7:09 pm

Thanks for being a Daniel as it seems we are going into a spiritual Babylonian captivity.
May God purify us into the instrument of His will.

[Bryan, may we all begin to diligently pray this! It is time for us to kneel; it is time for us to stand; it is time for us to go. dt]
