Ha! Not really for repairs, but just to let you know that things have been spinning very fast in my life and so I apologize for not being consistent in posting. Starting next week, however, I intend to do so every Tuesday & Thursday.
I have been on the road so much of late (“on the road” is an old cliché…I suppose “in the air” is more appropriate, but doesn’t seem to have the same punch). Somehow, my schedule has ended up in an East coast, West coast, East, West sort of a “ying-yang” harmonic. That doesn’t mean I’ve slipped into New Age thinking or jargon, it’s just that I’ve been bouncing from one end to the other and parts in between.
I want to tell you about some of them, including the amazing trip to New Orleans and what great work Desire Street Ministries is doing in the most devastated areas of the city.
I am in New Jersey right now for a Truth Project training conference; then to Los Angeles to be on Kirk Cameron’s TV show; then to Jacksonville, Florida for another TP conference; then to Olympia, Washington to teach at a pastor’s retreat; then to Fort Lauderdale; then to Sacramento…did I tell you about the time I walked into the Colorado Springs airport and my friends behind the United counter said, “Hello, Dr. Tackett, where are you travelling to today?” and I stood there and looked at them and said, “I don’t know…” That was embarrassing.
In the middle of this, we started the Fall 2009 Focus Leadership Institute class and I’ve had the privilege of being in the classroom with them several times already. They are so special! Great class!
By the way, the Truth Project training conference in Jacksonville, Florida will be a one-day event and it is the last regional training event I am personally scheduled to conduct. We may schedule more, but it’s the last one on our books.
This is exactly how it should be.
The Lord has so blessed the Truth Project and the multiplication strategy that there are thousands of small groups going on around the world…not only seeing the Lord do a wonderfully deep and transformational work within His people, but those groups provide the training for new small group leaders. That is now happening in an awesome way. It seems like we have reached a “critical mass” out there and we really don’t need to conduct the large training conferences any more. There still continues to be a need for our local training events (without me) and they will be held increasingly by the very capable Family Policy Councils that have been trained to do so in their individual states.
However, if you are in the Jacksonville area on October 3, I would love to meet you! We will be training at the First Baptist Church of Orange Park, Florida.
See you next week here or in Florida!

Goodmorning Del,
I am attending your Truth Project Conference here in Old Bridge, NJ. I am hoping to leave today with plentiful amunition to defend the Christian way when necessary. Years ago, a doctor that I work with said to me, “I believe education is your amunition in life.” I agree with him 100%. This past year I had a series of troubling events in my flawless nursing career. I realized two things 1. I am an endangered species, “a conservative Labor & Delivery nurse 2. I am low on amunition. Attending your conference will hopefully arm me w/the amunition that I need and provide direction for my missions planned as a response to my encounters. Thankyou for your dedication to this conference. Sincerely, Barbara M., RN
Del,
Thanks for the update. We’ll be keeping you in our prayers. Monday we are starting one of those Truth Project Bible studies; one of those “small stepping stones” that you talked about. I prefer to think of it as temple stones. I feel a little like the Jewish exiles who returned to their ruined city. When they set the foundation for the temple, and a much smaller one then had been there previously, the Scriptures record that both the weeping from anguish by the old heads and shouts of joy by the new ones was so loud that it was hard to tell which was which (Ezra 3:10-13). But if we do not despise the day of small things (Zech 4:10) suddenly the LORD, Our Lord, will stand in His temple, the Church, as He did in Jerusalem.
Del - sounds like a trip to LA soon. If you happen to be on my flight, I’d love to put you on the PA for a cross-country truth project presentation! We won’t land until everyone is saved! (I may need to add some fuel). Anyway, thanks for your wonderful ministry. God Bless you and your staff.
Dear Dr. Tackett,
When I attended the Old Bridge NJ Training this weekend, I had no idea it was to be one of the last such trainings led by you. How blessed I am to have had the opportunity to “sit at your feet”! A dear friend has been leading a small TTP group in Florida. When she learned that I was attending the training, she told me to be prepared to be “blown away”. How right she was! I thank our LORD for the gifts of teaching, speaking, thirst for knowledge and truth that He has given you. All God’s favor and blessings upon you and the entire TTP team!
Happy Birthday Dr. Del.
My husband and I started our first small group last Monday, on your birthday, with 9 newcomers who were excited to be exposed to TTP. We had participated earlier this year during our church Adult SS period.
Just today we viewed your bio for the first time and learned of your birthday from your draft pick situation. We remember those days. My Paul ended up in the Navy before his draft number showed up. He served in Vietnam probably the same time you were first at the USAF, too.
We’re loving the small group aspect and trust God will multiply after these next 12 sessions are completed.
Thank you for your excellent preparation and the excellent notes for us as small group leaders to use.
Here’s to all of our GRANDchildren’s futures!
Del, I watched the Truth Project Videos with my wife at a Wednesday Night Church class. I am still digesting the material frankly! For me, so far, the biggest impact came from realizing that I had been deceived into thinking that our Founding Fathers were all deists. I had bought that lie, and it was deep within me.
See the proof otherwise opened my heart and eyes in so many ways. It emboldened me too. I have much more to learn from the dvds, but God has started a good work in my family because of them.
Thank you brother! Please pass along my thanks to the production team. God bless you guys like you blessed me.
Trey
Dr. Dell Tackett, I am so grateful for The Truth Project. We are wrapping up three of the five tours we began facilitating in May, 2009. God uses these tours to form a community of believers growing in fellowship as He uncovers our pathologies and transforms us. It’s a miracle. We only dreamed about this unity in the Spirit. I see and experience God more and more in His Word, in His Creation, in our TTP partners, and in people I meet everyday. I praise God for His compassion and mercy as He brings us into the Light of His Worldview for such a time as this.
Dr. Tackett,
I hosted a TP Simulcast last year, it has changed a lot of things in my life and opened the eyes of many in our area. I want to thank you for your faithful work in the kingdom of God. Many are greatful good and faithful servant. Take care and many blessings.
Hi Dr Tackett,
I wanted to let you know that the Truth Project has connected a lot of those dots I had and things I didn’t understand. I have always had some questions and God used you and used this series to open my eyes to the truth and understand it in new way!! It changed my heart, it took me out of my comfort zone and it was like a new fresh spirit filled my heart and soul!! Thank You so much!!
If you are coming to Sacramento can you come to our church? Just thought I’d ask? Or can we come see you?
Thanks
Melissa

Del,
Now that God has allowed us to develop a solid foundation in Truth, how do we encourage one another to spend time in the Word, for continued edification and a deepening relationship with Christ? For me there is so much joy and growth in my relationship with Christ, while spending time with our Lord in His Word. I am not so sure others realize how important this is for heart changing, spiritual growth, & deep transformation. I do not want anyone in my group to miss out on the effect God has on us, through His Word. This has been my continued prayer for my entire group, that they will turn to Him by turning to His Word continually.
A small servant, humbled by the love of Christ, following His call to tell others of His eternal salvation,
Angie
Dr. Tackett
Thank you for coming to our community today. Even though we have already started The Truth Project , today’s session was so deeply meaningful in continuing to develop our understanding of how powerful the “Truth Project” tool is. May God’s blessings be upon you forever.
Our lives are deeply touched by the Truth and our commitment to host and shepherd our group is lasting.
