I just returned from Nashville where we had a great Truth Project regional training conference. The people were so warm and engaged and interactive. It was hard to leave them!
We had sold out the event a week before and were worried because we normally have 100 to 150 walk-up registrations. I would have been sick to turn anyone away. We had posted a notice on the website that there would be no registrations at the door. However, when we got to Nashville, we were greeted with the news that there were some people who had already arrived a day early and were not registered (some had driven from West Virginia). ClearView Baptist Church was hosting us (what a great staff!) and they did their best to add an additional 50 seats, but we were all still concerned.
Wouldn’t you know it? The cancellations plus 68 walk-ups ended up with a perfectly full house!
Amazing!
We met some wonderful people, heard some awesome stories and testimonies, and walked away energized again by what the Lord is doing.
Speaking of that, here are some stats that just came in:
–Truth Project small groups are active in 80 countries around the globe such as Afghanistan, Argentina, Belgium, Bermuda, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Djibouti, Germany, Hungary, Iceland,India, Iraq, Ghana, Japan, Cambodia, Latvia, Mongolia, New Guinea, Poland, Qatar, Russia, Slovakia, South Korea, Togo West Africa, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Zimbabwe;
–On every continent except Antarctica (we will have to work on that!);
–There are over 90,000 registrants on the small-group support web-site;
–We think there are over 1.5 million people who have gone through the Truth Project in the three years since we launched.
By the way, this has nothing to do with me or our small Truth Project staff…it has everything to do with the fact that it seems as if God has placed His hands upon this thing and when we do it in accordance with His design, He simply blesses.
Soli Deo Gloria!
…and thank you Nashville! We had a great time!

Our Creator’s hands are definitely on the Truth Project, blessing it every step of the way. The Lord is without a doubt building, producing much fruit through the truth project groups. Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it (KJV).
SDG. God provides perfectly.
Keep up the good work!
This project is the best thing I have experienced to date for a small group setting of believers. I pray it covers the globe and will do my part to see that happen.
We met at the Nashville conference, hopefully he will remember me as I was the only guy there with a ponytail and had also told him my place was that of a Sheepdog not a Shepherd, out in the wilderness searching for the lost. I am so thankful to all of you for your obedience, love and service to our Father and His Children!
God Bless you all!
Charlie…
I believe it is better to spend our lives removing the marks left on society rather than leaving our own…

I hope you’ll come back to the Nashville area again soon! My wife and I had been so looking forward to attending this conference, but were even more greatly blessed by the early (and healthy) arrival of our first child! We hated to miss you, but are glad to know that others were able to attend in our place. I have heard only great things from others who attended, and hope to be able to attend a TP training event sometime in the future.
So thankful I traveled from Kansas City to attend. What an amazing experience! I feel God has empowered me more than ever to take TTP into the prison where I volunteer. Praise God for raising up such an awesome group of people to put TTP together.
In the grip of His amazing grace,
Bryan
My husband and I came from Bowling Green, KY to represent our congregation. I had been prompted by my brother who attended one of the first trainings for The Truth Project in Louisville, KY and by my dad, who is a member of my brother’s small group. Wow, is all I can say. This is such a wonderful training and I can’t wait to share it with our family, our church family and beyond. Thank you over and over for the awesome teaching and to our great and glorious God who wants to empower His people to stand for Him!
The training was amazing. Here’s to the next 1.5 million people who will hear God’s truth through The Truth Project.
A wonderful time of encouragement, well worth the drive up from Atlanta. We particularly appreciated Del coming to the folks in the first few rows and saying hello to us in an engaging manner. We had a good time of fellowship with others who we met, and will see again in Glory.
I sure got a whole lot more from this than I expected. I came looking for material for our Men’s Ministry, but I think it may be too important not to share it with couples in the small group setting suggested.
This was my first exposure to the truth project and Dr. Tackett, and I was very pleased to have made the trip from toledo, Ohio. Dr. tackett was kind enough to answer a question for me that I really needed to ask. He was there well after the conference ended chatting with people. He was very patient and diplomatic in speaking to me, and I could see and hear the conviction in his voice. God is working through the truth project and I think I understand things somewhat better now. Thank you and bless you all for the work that you do.
My wife and I were truly uplifted by the event at Clearview. Dr. Tackett touched us with his deep and abiding love for our Lord. I have since viewed each of the DVDs in the set and the only word that comes to mind is… WOW! I am excited about getting a small group started, and I am convinced no one can sit through these tours and manage to remain un-touched. The hand of God is certainly working.
God Bless
The trip to Nashville from Chicago was outstanding. Dr. Tackett made it clear the “Truth Project “ is not about him, it’s about God. I agree, however Dr. Tackett is a tremendous speaker, teacher and storyteller. The conference went by way-to-fast. We have begun to watch the tours to get prepared to lead a group in two weeks. We will review tour 5 tonight, I can’t wait for the next tour, and Dr. Tackett explains each tour with passion, wisdom and reviles the truth. We are grateful to have attended and are eager to bring this to other Christ followers in the western burbs of Chicago.
Del,
You’ve helped a man of like spirit to Simeon, who saw in Jesus the consolation of Israel, rejoice. My heart is ever longing for the beauty of the bride and the restoration of the church to the lustre she had during her early years, and during the reformation when those brave souls the Huguenots, and the Waldensians, and the followers of Huss, Luther, Calvin, Knox and Zwingli gave brave testimony to God whose face they had seen, and whose voice they heard echo in his creation, and boldly they stood and went forth even to martyrdom. These are they who knew their God and did exploits (Dan 11:32-33). Thank you for preparing us to go forth likewise and build up the body of Christ for her bridegroom!!
Dr. Tackett, thanks for Nashville visit. I’m not RC but “Caritas in Veritate”, Pope Benedict’s new encyclical seems to be right in line with many of The Truth Project’s observations…”Without truth, charity degenerates into sentimentality. Love become an empty shell to be filled in an arbitrary way.” I believe Truth Project is on to something much bigger than itself”…Praise God.
