I took this picture a couple of weeks ago.
I sent it to my grandchildren and asked them to try and identify it.
Their answers were so interesting that I thought I would give others a shot at it to.
Ask your kids.
I’ll give you the “bigger picture” next time.

These look like some kind of lizard foot. At first I thought maybe a chicken but then I noticed the five toes and the scales. Maybe a monitor lizard of some kind? It is an intriguing shot.
Steve
Definitely looks like reptilian feet to me. Those colors are amazing!
Amazing photo! It looks like an adult orange Iguana. They are claimed to change to orange during the mating season. Iquanas remind me of mood rings - how their changing colors adapt to their environment. One of many amazing creatures of God.
I agree, the picture appears to be that of some kind of lizard.
At first glance it looks somewhat akin to a komodo dragon, though it is difficult to tell not being a reptilian expert.
It is an iguana. I don’t know the type but I would guess green because it is not uncommon for a green iguana to have some yellow with black. The dewlap gives it away. However, I would only say I am ninety-eight percent sure. Of that two percent, one percent goes to the foreseen unforeseen possibilities I have come up with and another goes to doubt.
Like Steve, my first thought was a chicken….until I saw the makings of a tail! =) I would have to say a reptile of some sort.
An Eagle.
Iguana
It’s an Iguana!
I thought it was some kind of a frog or toad, but it could be an Iguana.
